Victor returns from his trip and goes into Newman. Neil asks him about his trip and then tells him about how he wants Beauty of Nature to sponsor Nick's new print and on-line magazine. Victor refuses to allow Beauty of Nature advertise in Nick's magazine. Neil tries to tell Victor how great the magazine looks, but Victor refuses to listen, telling Neil he is confident that Nick's magazine venture will not succeed.
Phyllis informs everyone that she has come up with the perfect name for their new magazine - "Restless". Everyone really likes the name, but Nick finds out that the name has already been taken. The group starts tossing out names to put with restless, and come up with "Restless Style," which is a name that has not been taken yet.
Neil calls Nick to inform him that Victor refuses to allow Beauty of Nature to advertise in their magazine. Nick is visibly upset by the news.
Jeff, Gloria, Lauren, Michael, and Kevin eat dinner in the Abot mansion. Jeff tells everyone that Jack offered him a lot of money to move out and that he accepted his offer. Gloria is furious about it, but Michael agrees that moving out might be the best thing to do.
Michael mentions he was in Korea for business and asks Jeff if he's ever been to the city he went to. Jeff tells everyone that he had a girlfriend there for many years and she continually calls him. He tells everyone that this woman cannot accept the fact that he is falling in love with someone else.
Heather and Maggie discuss the Ji Min murder in the coffeehouse. They are joined by Paul. Heather decides to call her boss and tell him there are no other leads on the case and she believes it is time to drop the investigation. Heather's boss hangs up on her and Heather feels horribly about her abilities as the Assistant D.A.
Daniel asks Heather out to dinner and Heather accepts. At the end of dinner, Heather invites Daniel back to her place.
Victoria visits Nikki at Jabot. She talks to her mother about how she's feeling and tells her that she plans to go back to work next week. Victoria also tells Nikki that Victor invited Victor Jr. back to Genua City to work at Newman.
Kevin puts a large dose of poison into Gloria's wine and she begins her performance. Jeff merely remains in the dining room as Gloria falls to the floor in the living room, as he knows she is acting.
Nick goes to Newman to confront his father about refusing to allow Beauty of Nature to advertise in his new magazine. He tells Victor he is making a big mistake.
At the club, Jack receives a call from his lawyer, telling him that he has been dropped as a person of interest in the Ji Min murder investigation. Jack and Sharon are both thrilled to hear this news.
J.T. stops into Victor's office at Newman and tells him he wants to begin looking for a house for himself, Victoria, and the baby. Victor offers to advance J.T. the money in order to buy Nick and Sharon's old house on the Newman ranch. J.T. tells Victor he appreciates his offer.

Jack's senate hearing
The Young and the Restless update for Monday December 3, 2007:
Michael and Lauren attempt an intervention with Kevin to prevent him from marrying Jana. Kevin refuses to listen, however, and goes to the prison to visit Jana.
Jack prepares for his senate hearing. Ben, Daniel, and Sharon are there to support Jack through the hearing. The hearing starts and Jack is asked questions about his involvement with Jabot. John's ghost appears and urges Jack to tell the ethics committee the truth about why he purchased Jabot, but Jack tells his father he can't tell them the truth.
Brad approaches Nikki as she looks in on Victoria's baby. He tells her that he asked the hospital to hold off on the DNA test and issuing a birth certificate. Nikki is grateful for this.
Jill asks for the senate committee to allow her and Gloria to speak about how Jack's actions affected them as well as Jabot. The committee agrees to let each of them speak. The committee also asks Jack questions about his involvement in the Ji Min murder and his involvement in Clear Springs.
Ben and Jack discuss playing the tape of Victor pressuring Ji Min to get a confession out of Jack about owning Jabot at the hearing. Sharon reminds Jack that he promised her that he wouldn't do that and Jack keeps his word.
Jana tells Kevin that the doctors told her that her tumor hasn't grown back and they do not believe that it will ever grow back. Kevin is overjoyed at this news. Jana, however, maintains that she will not marry Kevin because she will still spend a lifetime in prison. Kevin is relentless in trying to get Jana to change her mind about marrying him.
Ben calls Maggie to check on the tape he gave her of Victor. She doesn't give him any information on what the police department is doing about it. However, when she hangs up the phone, she tells Paul that she will have to get a search warrant for Victor's house. She goes to the hospital and tells Victor she needs to ask him some questions, but Victor demands she leave, telling her that he could have her career ruined if she doesn't leave him alone. Maggie leaves the hospital, but tells Victor that he will have to answer some of her questions soon.

She further asserts that the dog hair came from a golden retriever similar to Jack Abbott's dog and that Jack was the last person to be seen coming out of Ji Min's room before his body was found.

Phyllis defends Jack.
Jill pays Jack a visit at the Abbott mansion, accusing him of murdering Ji Min. She demands to know how Jack's dog's fur got on Ji Min's clothes. Sharon defends Jack, but Jill refutes her statements, telling Sharon that Jack was the last person to be seen leaving Ji Min's room before his body was found.
After Jill leaves, Sharon expresses her frustration with Jack not telling her the truth about using Ji Min's family's estate to persuade Ji Min to drop the interview. She says she had hoped Jack would be honest with her about everything regarding the Ji Min murder investigation.
Sharon leaves to pick up Noah. While she is gone, John pays Jack a visit. They talk about his struggles with the Ji Min murder investigation. John reminds Jack that Sharon isn't the only one watching out for him.
Cane and Heather enjoy dinner at the GCAC. Cane wants to talk about the murder investigation and Heather insists that she cannot discuss it with him. He pushes her for information and she continues to insist she cannot talk about it. Cane apologizes and tells her next time they will talk about something else. Heather accepts his apology.
Later Cane calls Heather from the GCAC basketball court to apologize again for insisting on talking about the investigation. After he hangs up, he slings a basketball at the building's wall in frustration.
Jeffrey and Gloria meet for their date. Jeffrey talks about investing in real estate and Gloria wonders if he wants her to make an investment. Jeffrey tells her he doesn't want her to invest, but he would like to go out again to learn more about Gloria.

Paul and Maggie theorize about what happened to Ji Min. David approaches them and tells them that Jack talked to Ji Min the day of the interview and tried to get him to back out of it. Nikki confides in David that she is worried that she will not be able to make her first business loan payment. She is frantically calling banks and loan officers to try to come up with the remaining money, but has no luck. Later, she tells Victor she will be able to make half the payment by the due date and the other half two weeks later. Victor refuses her the requested extension and tells Nikki that she must make the full payment on the due date or he will call the loan in.
