Cane Gives Up the Lawsuit!

Jack and Ashley sit in the GCAC dining room and speculate as to whether Jill has read the Restless Style article on Katherine yet. Jack says he wants a front row seat when she does. Suddenly, Jill walks into the room.

Jill approaches Cane at the GCAC bar, and he tells her that Katherine offered him a high-level job at Chancellor. He tells his mother he turned it down. Jill tells him it was dumb to turn it down right before Cordelia's custody hearing. Cane says there's too much backstabbing in business and he doesn't want that in his family. Before Cane leaves, he asks Jill to come to Cordelia's hearing with him, but Jill tells him it won't help him to be seen with the, "Wicked Witch of Genua City!" After Cane leaves, Jill spots Ashley and Jack across the room and remembers her conversation with Victor, threatening to tell Ashley about the shares he bought.

Billy confronts Chloe for confronting Mac at the coffeehouse. Mac tells Chloe that she isn't going into hiding anytime soon, so she needs to get used to being around. She also tells Chloe she is not a threat to her marriage. Mac goes to sit alone. Chloe orders a coffee and Billy tells the barista to make it a decaf. They sit down at a table, and Chloe notices Billy is nervous about the hearing as well. She is relieved that he's nervous, too, even though he denies being nervous to her. Chloe tells Billy it helps her knowing how much he cares, and he kisses her hand and reassures her that nothing is going to happen to his girls. Mac watches from across the room.

Neil tells the judge he has something to say in court. He says he's adopted before - Devon - Ana's older brother, and he thinks of Devon as his son. Neil says he feels the same way about Ana and wants to do right by her. He asks the judge to reconsider putting Ana with her mother, Tyra, the woman who made Ana who she is today. Karen and Tyra are both shocked. The judge is confused about the sudden change in heart Neil has had. Neil admits to the judge that he and Karen have been having marital problems, even though she has overlooked his mistakes. The judge calls another recess to think about things. Karen is furious, asking Neil what he's done!

Outside the courtroom, Ana is worried about what is taking so long. She worries she upset Neil and Karen by hugging Tyra. Devon tries to reassure her that everything will be all right, telling her that whoever takes her home today, he will always be there for her. Cane comes to the courthouse and Ana greets him. Devon fills Cane in on Tyra filing a petition at the last minute. Lily comes out of the courtroom and asks to speak with Cane alone.

Jill approaches Ashley and Jack in the dining room at the GCAC. Ashley teases Jill about begging Victor for a job. Jill is not pleased. She tells Ashley she bets there's a part of their conversation he left out, and she'd be happy to fill her in on it. Ashley doesn't feel well all of a sudden. Jack gets on Jill about not supporting her son, Billy. Jill warns Jack about kicking her when she's down because that's when she's the most dangerous! Ashley moans in pain again and Jill asks her what's wrong, is Satan's spawn giving you indigestion? Jack helps Ashley leave the table as Jill tells them she has something important to tell them. They tell her they don't care as they leave. In the foyer, Ashley has more pain and tells Jack she needs to see her doctor.

After Ashley and Jack leave, Jill returns to the bar at the GCAC and drinks some more. A reporter approaches her and begins to ask her questions. The reporter wants to know her reaction to Katherine saying that Jill is a fraud. Jill tells him she'll give him an exclusive - Katherine Chancellor is a fraud! Mackenzie overhears as she arrives at the Club.

Neil apologizes to Karen for having to tell the judge to reconsider. Karen is furious and she says of course Neil is sorry - he thought hiring Tyra a lawyer would be enough to beat them at getting Ana. The judge comes back and tells everyone that she's giving permanent guardianship to Tyra. Tyra rushes out of the courtroom crying. She hugs Ana and tells her the good news. Devon is confused and goes to Neil to find out what happened. Neil tells him that Tyra won with Neil's help and that Karen isn't doing well. Neil looks over and sees Karen's wedding ring on the table where she was sitting!

Lily tells Cane Neil did the right thing - Ana should have been with her mother all along. She says that she doesn't want to see Cordelia doing the same thing one day. She pleads with him to do the right thing as well.

Neil goes home and finds Karen packing her suitcase. She tells him she's going to get as far away from here as she can get! Karen accuses Neil of having wanted this outcome the entire time. She says Neil always has to be the good guy - he can't let anyone down - not even his mistress. Karen thinks that their entire relationship has been a lie, but Neil argues that the entire thing has been true. Karen accuses Neil of using her to get over his dead wife. Karen explains that this never felt right from the beginning, but he kept coming after her with a bunch of promises and she believed him. Neil grabs Karen's arm as she tries to leave and when he won't let go, saying he loves her, Karen hits him in the face. Karen keeps hitting Neil in the chest, sobbing and saying she hates him. The door opens and Devon, Ana, and Tyra stand there, shocked. Ana is worried Karen is upset about her. Karen reassures her this isn't her fault and that she'll miss her. She takes her things and leaves. Neil calls her name, but she doesn't respond before she leaves. Karen sobs as the elevator door closes. Neil holds Karen's ring in the palm of his hand inside his apartment. Ana wants to know where she and Tyra go from here?

Billy and Chloe arrive at the courthouse, shortly followed by Rafe. He greets them and wants to get them settled into the courtroom. Cane asks to speak to Chloe alone, and she agrees. They go into an empty courtroom. Chloe begins to rant about how Cordelia needs her mother, and Cane agrees, shocking Chloe. Cane says he's been thinking about what he would tell Delia when she asked about her mom, and he can't think of a single reason he could tell her about why he took her away from Chloe. Cane and Chloe both grew up without mothers, and Cane says their daughter won't be the same. Cane tells Chloe he's going to drop the lawsuit, and she embraces him, thanking him. Cane says he will be keeping an eye on her, and Chloe says he will always be there - he is part of the family. Cane tells Chloe she'll have to change the name on the birth certificate, and Chloe says that won't be a problem.

In the hall, Lily tells Billy what is going on, and Billy thanks her for helping him. He tells Lily that he really did care about her in their relationship, and she says she knows. She says that no one else could have helped her through that difficult time, and she thanks him for being there for her. Chloe and Cane emerge from the courtroom and Billy and Chloe hug as do Cane and Lily.

Ashley and Jack arrive at the Ranch. Jack tells Estella that the doctor ordered a lot of rest for Ashley. Estella offers to get Ashley some tea, but Ashley says she'll just have water. Estella tries to insist that tea is best because that's what Sabrina said, but Ashley tells Estella firmly that she wants water. Ashley goes to her room, leaving Jack in the living room. Adam comes in and he and Jack briefly discuss his sight. Adam tells Jack he can see other things now - like Jack's true nature and the fact that Jack will fall. Jack says Adam's blindness hasn't changed his character - it just gives him another way to manipulate people. Jack says Hope never used her disability to manipulate others. Ashley overhears and she comes back downstairs, telling Jack to leave. Ashley apologizes for Jack and Adam says Jack was right about one thing - he isn't worth much these days.

Tyra and Karen Face Off in Court

Cane shows up at Jill's table at the GCAC and surprises her. He tells her Michael says he has a real shot at getting custody of Delia. Jill asks what time the hearing is and wishes Cane luck. Cane asks his mother if she's talked to Katherine, and Jill tells him she hasn't and she doesn't expect to either because Kay fired her from Chancellor. Cane wonders what is next for his mother, and Jill informs him she has a plan, but won't tell him what it is until its a sure thing.

Katherine and Mac sit out on the patio at the coffeehouse in silence. Finally, Katherine tells Mac about the latest round with Jill and they begin to discuss misunderstandings. Mac alludes to her situation with Billy. Kay tells Mackenzie she thought Chloe had an agenda initially and told her about the first time Cane brought her over to meet them. She tells Mackenzie how Esther dropped the tray she was carrying when she laid eyes on her daughter and how they all realized in that moment that Chloe was actually Kate. Katherine goes on to say that Chloe has made some bad decisions in her lifetime, but both she and Billy love Cordelia. Kay says the best thing Billy can do for Cordelia is to lover her mother, and Mac thinks about this.

Billy is dreaming of Mackenzie as he is awakened to Cordelia crying and Chloe requesting that he get her. Once they are both up, Chloe brings up the subject of Mac and how she's decided to stay in town. Billy admits he ran into her last night at the bookstore when he went to get the nursery rhyme books for Cordelia. Chloe asks Billy why he didn't tell her about his encounter last night, and he says he didn't feel it was important enough to wake her up for. Chloe begins to panic about the possibility of losing Cordelia and tries to find the perfect outfit for her daughter to wear to court. She wonders what she and Billy are going to do if they lose Cordelia. Chloe suddenly announces that she needs to go somewhere and leaves Billy to finish dressing Cordelia.

Karen and Neil are at Newman with Ana. She asks if her mom will be at the adoption hearing and Karen says she probably will be because it's an important day. Neil thinks about how he helped Tyra get her own lawyer to file her own adoption petition. Devon arrives and asks Ana where she wants to go while Karen and Neil are in court. She wants to go to the coffeehouse, so she and Devon leave. Victoria enters the room and asks Neil to see Victor. When Neil leaves, Victoria remarks that Karen doesn't seem as excited as she had expected on Ana's adoption hearing date.

Victor talks with Neil about the new fragrance line and how he expects the Board of Directors to pass it. Neil is distracted. He tells Victor that today is Ana's adoption hearing and that no matter what the outcome is, someone is going to get hurt. He says that only one woman can be Ana's legal mother and the other woman will have her heart broken. He also admits to Victor that he's made some bad decisions recently.

At Indigo, Lily confronts Tyra about sleeping with her father and hiring a lawyer behind Karen's back to file her own adoption petition. Ana and Devon walk in and Ana gives Tyra a poem she wrote about what a great mom she is! Lily pulls Devon aside and demands to know why he didn't tell her about Neil and Tyra. Devon says he wanted to tell her, but didn't know how. He watches Ana and Tyra interact and remarks that this is how it should be.

J.T. reports to Victor. Victor wants to know how the digging on Colleen is going, and J.T. says he doesn't think Colleen has done a thing wrong in her life! Victor demands that J.T. keep digging to find something to get Colleen out of her board seat as soon as possible. J.T. wonders if Victoria knows what Victor is doing, and Victor says of course she doesn't know! Victor demands that J.T. not tell her, either. As J.T. leaves Victor's office, Victoria comes in. Victor tells Victoria that she's going to head up the new fragrance line, and Victoria is pleased.

Karen, Neil, and Rafe sit in the courtroom when the judge asks if the other petitioner is coming. Karen is confused. Tyra walks in with her lawyer and sits down. Neil appears to be uncomfortable and Karen looks at him, shocked. Karen wants to know if Neil knew about this and if he helped Tyra file a petition. Neil mutters that he thought it was the right thing to do. Rafe stands up and tells the judge about how Neil and Dru adopted Devon and helped him turn his life around. Neil and Karen express their intention to adopt Ana and to give her a good, stable home. The judge tells Neil and Karen that she will have no problem granting their petition! Tyra's lawyer tells the judge everything Tyra has done for Ana from the time she was a teenager. She asks the judge to consider that in making her decision because Tyra wants to legally adopt Ana now that Yolanda's parental rights have been terminated. Karen and Tyra have a yelling match, and the judge calls for order. Rafe apologizes for his client's outburst. The judge requests to speak to Ana to find out how Ana feels about living with each party. Neil calls Devon to have him bring Ana to the courthouse.

Cane runs into Katherine at Jabot. She tells Cane that Jill's things being boxed up and her being fired was a misunderstanding. She tells him that Mitchell Sherman ordered that change - not her. She tells Cane not to tell Jill about this yet though because she believes they need some time apart. Cane asks Kay if he is going to be fired from his job, and Katherine tells him he is only going to move upstairs to take his place in his father's company - Chancellor Industries. Katherine wants Cane to be CEO, but he tells her that while he appreciates the offer he has to decline because of what is going on with his mom. He tells Katherine to tell the Abbott family he quit Jabot.

Jill finds Mackenzie in the coffeehouse and wants to know why she stayed in town. Mac tells her she knows Billy is taken. Jill tells Mac that Billy is completely off-limits to which Mac replies she isn't the one with a history of going after married men! An angry Jill walks away.

Lily, Devon, and Ana go to the bookstore. Billy and the baby appear at the bookstore as well and Billy asks Lily if he can talk to her. He says he knows they never really broke up, but he's sorry about the way things ended between them. He says he's a better person for having met her and he hopes someday they can be friends again. Billy wants to know if Lily can get through to Cane about Delia - she should be with her parents. Devon appears and tells Lily that they need to get to the courthouse - Neil just called.

Chloe is at a church praying. She says she knows she's done some rotten things. She begs God not to punish her daughter for the mistakes she's made. She says Cordelia needs her and she needs Cordelia, too.

Victoria meets J.T. at the coffeehouse and tells J.T. how she has been put in charge of the new fragrance line. She says she hopes the board passes it, but she isn't sure about the wild card - Colleen. She says she hopes that everything goes well and that Colleen and Victor don't get into it at the board meeting, messing everything up.

Jill finds Victor at Newman and offers herself for his service. Victor laughs and tells her he already has a great team of employees. Victor says he's not interested in hiring her. Jill says Jack has been wondering who bought the Jabot stock, and she threatens to tell Ashley Victor bought it. Victor doesn't care - he tells her to take up needlepoint because she's going to have a lot of spare time on her hands.

Ana arrives at the courthouse and takes the witness stand in the courtroom. The judge asks her about her life and activities with Neil and Karen versus Tyra. Ana says she loves all of them, but Tyra is her mother. Ana goes over to hug her mom, and the judge requests she go back into the hallway to wait with Devon for a little bit. The judge tells everyone she will make a decision soon and puts the court in recess. Karen wants to know who's side Neil is on! The judge comes back and says she hopes all of the petitioners can work together for Ana's best interest - it is good to have a lot of people who love you around you. She says she's decided to grant Neil and Karen the legal right to adopt Ana. Karen is relieve and Tyra cries. Neil stands up suddenly and asks the judge to wait - he has something he wants to say!

Chloe sees Mac at the coffeehouse and tells her that she and Billy are married now and that Mac better not be staying around because she hopes she can have Billy back - she says Billy is not interested in going backwards. Billy walks in and hears Chloe. He asks Chloe what the heck she is doing?!

Neil Gets Tyra A Lawyer

Katherine and Mackenzie discuss Jill at the coffeehouse. Neither one of them understand why Jill is acting the way she is. Katherine says she has to find a way to get through to Jill. Talk then turns to Mac and Billy. Katherine asks Mac if any part of her decision to stay around Genua City had to do with Billy. Mac avoids the question, and Katherine goes off to find Jill to talk with her.

Lily runs into Karen in the bookstore and asks her how she is. Karen tells Lily she doesn't have to pretend, and Lily isn't sure what she's talking about. Karen is surprised Devon didn't tell Lily about Neil and Tyra. Lily asks her what is going on. Karen tells her she should talk to her father about it, but when Lily presses, Karen tells her that Neil and Tyra had an affair. Lily says her father would never do that, but Karen tells Lily that Neil admitted to it. Lily is shocked, and she assumes that Ana's adoption is on hold. Karen tells her they are moving forward with the adoption, and this worries Lily.

Billy looks out the window and thinks about Mac in the pool house. Chloe and Cordelia are also there. Chloe asks Billy which outfit makes her look more like Mom of the Year. She is preparing for the custody hearing, which is taking place tomorrow. Chloe asks Billy if he's still in love with Mac and hoping for a fairy tale ending, because if he is, they're screwed. Billy assures Chloe he has no plans to cut out on her. Billy admits he loved Mac once and felt something when she returned, but she's gone now, and he's with his family where he should be.

Cane and Michael meet about the custody suit. Cane wants to ensure they win; he wants to go after Billy with everything he has. He asks Michael if that is going to be a problem for him. Michael tells Cane that it's hard for him to imagine two brothers going after each other like this because he'd give anything to have his brother sitting with him right now!

Rafe, Neil, and Tyra meet at the coffeehouse about Ana's adoption hearing. Neil wants Tyra to be able to file her own petition. Rafe is shocked that Neil wants Tyra to file her own petition and to get custody of Ana while he appears to be standing by his wife in court. Rafe tells Neil that what he is suggesting is a major conflict of interest, but offers to refer Tyra to another lawyer all the same. Later, Rafe calls with a referral fro Tyra. Tyra wonders if Neil hates her - she is ruining his life. Neil tells her he doesn't hate her, and kisses her hand as Lily walks in.

Neil follows Lily. She tells her father that Karen told her what happened between him and Tyra. She is angry with him, but admits it isn't her business. Neil tells Lily it isn't her business, but what happened between him and Tyra was a one-time thing, not an on-going affair. Neil tells Lily that he is beginning to think that adopting Ana is a bad idea. When Lily learns that Neil helped Tyra get her own lawyer, she says that they got married in order to hold onto Ana. If they lose Ana, they are going to have to figure out if they love each other enough to stay married.

Rafe visits Billy and Chloe. He says it would be a good idea to take Cordelia to the hearing. They are shocked and wonder if he's trying to say that they might lose! Rafe says that no one knows for sure who is going to win. He wants them to be prepared, but he didn't mean to freak them out in the process. After Rafe leaves, Chloe begins to panic, thinking about the possibility of losing her baby. She wants to go out and get the books of vintage nursery rhymes so she can read them to Cordelia on what might be her last night with her mother. Billy kisses her forehead and reassures Chloe that Cane isn't going to win. Billy goes out to get the nursery rhyme books so they can start reading them to Delia. Esther comes over and tells Chloe that Mackenzie decided to stay after all. Chloe begins to panic and tries to call Billy, but he doesn't answer.

Jill arrives at Jabot for work, but finds all of her things in boxes. She asks who did this, but before a staff member can answer, she says she already knows who did it. Katherine arrives shortly afterward, and finds an angry Jill. Katherine doesn't understand why she's angry - she just wants to talk. Jill tells Katherine that she was fired thanks to her! Katherine said she didn't fire Jill, and she doesn't know what she's talking about. Jill wonders how she ever believed that Katherine loved her as a daughter. Jill believes Katherine only made her CEO of Chancellor because it was expected of her. Now that Katherine knows Jill is not her daughter, she isn't obligated to keep her at Chancellor anymore! Katherine tries to protest, but Jill won't listen. Katherine tells Jill that she's hurt and upset and she's projecting those things onto her. Jill wants Katherine to admit that she never loved Jill as her daughter. Jill keeps pushing and Katherine becomes frustrated. Katherine finally tells Jill that she's glad that this person right in front of her isn't her daughter.

Mac runs into Michael at the coffeehouse and accompanies him to the psychiatric hospital where Kevin is staying. She wants to help Kevin find his way back like she did before. Mac goes into Kevin's room and he backs away as she begins to speak to him. Mac tells him a little about her life and encourages him, telling him she is going to be there for him. Kevin hallucinates the chipmunk again! Mac tells Kevin she'll be back to see him again soon before she leaves his room. Michael is discouraged that Kevin didn't seem to recognize Mac, but Mac assures Michael that she'll come back to see Kevin again - she's still his friend. Inside his room, Kevin whispers, Mac." Michael goes in to see Kevin and reminds him of all the people who love him. Michael tries to touch Kevin's shoulder, but he flinches.

Cane arrives at Jill's office at Jabot and they talk about what happened with Katherine. Jill tells Cane there is a lot of bad blood between she and Katherine and they have fallen back into that dark place again. Jill tells Cane Katherine admitted she is glad Jill isn't her daughter. Cane offers to take her out for dinner to cheer her up. Jill says he's a good son, but she wants him to rest for the hearing tomorrow regarding Cordelia's custody. Cane says he doesn't understand why Katherine is treating Jill this way - he wants Delia even though he isn't her biological father, and he can't understand why Kay doesn't want Jill because they aren't biologically related. Cane leaves and Jill thinks about better times she and Katherine shared as she packs up her office.

At the coffeehouse, Katherine talks with Murphy about Jill. Kay feels Jill is trying to destroy everything good that they shared and she doesn't know what to do. Murphy thinks Jill is lashing out at Kay because she's in pain. Katherine says it's so sad that Kevin is in trouble right now because he believed in her, but Jill never did. Murphy suggests they go home, but Kay asks him if he'd mind if she just sits alone for a while.

Billy is surprised when he finds Mac at the bookstore! He asks her if she got his number from Brock, and when she says she did, Billy wants to know why she didn't call him. Mac tells him to ask his wife! Billy asks her why she really stayed around, but Mackenzie avoids his question. Billy presses her to say that she stayed in Genua City because of him. He suddenly grabs her and kisses her!

Karen and Neil meet up at the Club, and Neil informs her they need to talk about some things before the hearing tomorrow. Karen asserts there's nothing to talk about - they're going forward with the adoption. She says Neil came into her life, and made her believe she could be a mother again. Neil tells her he doesn't want to hurt her to which Karen responds, "Then don't." She leaves to go home.

Lily finds Cane at the GCAC waiting for his mother. Lily tells him he's a great son. Lily tells Cane she'll come to the hearing tomorrow and support him, but she wants him to think about whether this is really the right thing to do or not before he goes in there tomorrow. Cane tells Lily that he's doing the right thing and he's certain of it.

Nikki Finally Recognizes Katherine

The Young and the Restless update for Friday March 13, 2009:

Nikki and Katherine sit at the Club bar and talk about the ring. Nikki tells Katherine she pawned it, but Katherine says she’d never do such a thing because her mother gave it to her. She doesn’t remember pawning it at all. Katherine tells Nikki she’s her best friend and she doesn’t know what she’d do without her. Nikki tells Katherine she might actually believe she is who she says she is if Katherine would tell her something that isn’t a matter of public record. Nikki tells Katherine to go away and she does.

Amber and Kevin are at the coffeehouse, and amber tells Kevin she’d bet her life that Katherine really is Katherine. They begin to talk about Kevin and where Clint might have him. Katherine is upset by the way Nikki and Jill have treated her, and Amber empathizes with her. Daniel asks if she has remembered anything that might help them find Kevin, but Katherine tells them she hasn’t been able to remember anything yet. Amber tells Katherine she’s taking her on a trip, and at first Katherine protests, but when Daniel reminds her how stubborn Amber is, she gives in and goes along with it. Before she leaves, Amber thanks Daniel for being so nice to Katherine. He tells her to call if she’s going to be late.

Jana comes in upset about Kevin. She says as more time passes, she fears more and more that Clint may have done something awful to him. Daniel tells her that he feels in his gut that Kevin is still alive, and Jana seems to be somewhat relieved by this assurance.

Nikki spots Victoria and tells her that even though she knows she was talking to Marge, she reminded her of Katherine so much. Talk then turns to the subject of Ashley’s pregnancy, and Victoria is surprised when Nikki says she wishes both Ashley and Victor well. She tells Victoria she even went to congratulate Victor on the pregnancy. Victoria tells her mother she should be concerned about Victor because he keeps latching onto one thing after another for hope – Adam, Sabrina, and now Ashley. Nikki reminds Victoria she should learn to live with what her father is doing because she doesn’t want to risk another alienation by him. Victoria comments that she still feels guilty about the way she treated her father and Victor. Victoria comments that her mother is so accepting of the situation that she’ll be throwing Ashley a baby shower.

Kevin returns to the motel room in the squirrel costume. Clint says that he did good work and he’ll get another helping of Mac ‘n’ Cheese tonight. Kevin doesn’t seem pleased and Clint demands a “thank you, daddy,” from him. Clint looks at the money and tells Kevin this is just the beginning for the two of them. Kevin tells Clint he isn’t going to commit any more robberies for him, but Clint reminds him he’ll do whatever Clint says. Kevin turns against Clint, saying that he’ll hurt him. Clint is scared, but snaps out of it, telling Kevin if he doesn’t do what he says, he is going to go back into the closet for another 24 hours. Kevin apologizes and promises he won’t make another outburst like that again, and Clint says, “It’s okay, son.” They see a report on the television about the robbery, and Kevin gets scared.

At Newman Victor tells Ashley that it seems that Adam is having vision problems; he saw Adam reading his letter upside down. Victor tells her that he could be lying about this, and that he knows what Adam is capable of. Ashley tells Victor that either way he needs to find out what is going on and be there for his son. Victor agrees.

At Indigo, Tyra tells Neil she knows why he wants to talk – he saw the two of them kissing. She tells Neil that Karen accused her of trying to break up their marriage, and Neil doesn’t seem pleased about that. He tells Tyra under the circumstances they can no longer work together. Tyra tells Neil the kiss was her fault; she shouldn’t have let it happen. She says Neil is like a man from a fairytale, and that her life’s never been that way. She tells him she has never felt anything for another man the way she feels about Neil. Neil tells her the kiss was as much his fault as it was hers. Tyra says his loyalty lies with his wife, and that he’s right, they can’t work together anymore. She makes it clear to Neil that she will always be a part of Ana’s life, though, and Neil agrees. She says she’s glad that Neil and Karen are still going to adopt her, and that Neil needs to figure out what he is going to tell Ana about why her mother is no longer working at Indigo. Neil tells her they’ll figure it out.

Devon looks for his father at Newman. Karen tells him Neil isn’t there. Devon asks Karen if everything is okay between her and Neil, and she admits they’ve had some tough times lately. Devon tells her whatever is going on, Neil loves her.

Victor returns to the prison to visit Adam. When Adam acts defensive again, Victor asks him if he’s afraid that Victor will find out that he’s lying or that he’ll have to ask for help. Victor tells Adam he’s brought a doctor with him and asks Adam if he’ll allow the doctor to examine him. Adam sighs in defeat. The doctor examines Adam. The doctor says it appears that Adam has the beginning of the eye disease Hope had. Victor tells Adam he is sorry for the bad news. Victor also remarks he’s been afraid of Adam getting this eye condition since before he was born. Adam admits he is scared; he says that prison is terrifying with sight, but he doesn’t know how he’s going to survive in prison while he goes blind.

Katherine and Amber go to the diner, where they find Pearl, Murphy, and Joe Jr. Murphy is happy to see her and asks if she remembers him. Katherine tells him she does and she has so much she needs to say to him. Murphy wants to know if she’s had a breakthrough, but Katherine tells him Amber filled her in on the past few months. Murphy is disappointed. Katherine thanks Murphy for taking her in and for being so kind to her. She says she will take care of him for the rest of his life once she proves who she is, but Murphy tells her all the thanks he needs is knowing that she is his friend. Katherine tells him she hopes he will change his mind when the time comes.

Nikki and Victoria arrive at Newman, and greet Karen, who rushes off, saying she has a meeting. Ashley comes around the corner and Victoria watches in amazement as Nikki gives Ashley a hug, telling her she hasn’t had the opportunity to congratulate her yet. She tells Ashley she thinks life is too short for grudges and she wishes her, the baby, and Victor every happiness. Victoria finds Karen in the break room and asks how her meeting went. Karen is baffled until Victoria explains that Karen said she had a meeting earlier when they saw each other. Karen said it went fine. Victoria asks if she and Neil are having problems.

Neil offers to make some calls for Tyra to help her get another job, but Tyra tells him he doesn’t have to do that. She turns to go, but Neil calls after her. He comes toward her and kisses her passionately. They begin to undress each other when Devon comes in. Neither of them notice he is there, however.

At the coffeehouse, Jana thanks Daniel for his pep talk. Daniel shows her a video of a stranger robbery and Jana is shocked that the scarf the squirrel is wearing looks just like Kevin’s. Daniel agrees it does. They agree that it’s crazy to think Kevin is running around committing robberies dressed as a squirrel. Later, Amber returns to the coffeehouse and she watches the video of the robbery with Jana and Daniel. She notices that the scarf the squirrel wears is the one she made for Kevin as well. Daniel tells the girls he hates to admit it to them, but the squirrel robbing the check-cashing place is Kevin.

At Newman, Victor receives a call from the prison, alerting him that Adam is being taken to the prison infirmary because he was beaten severely.

Katherine approaches Nikki at the Club once again. Katherine begs Nikki to listen to her. She says she needs Nikki to support her the way Katherine supported her when she was in Mexico. Katherine tells Nikki about the conversation they had on the phone and about a specific story Nikki told her about she and Victor that Katherine had not heard before that day. Nikki is shocked and finally believes Katherine is alive! Nikki hugs her friend and cries.

Kevin Regresses

The Young and the Restless update for Thursday March 12, 2009:

At the prison, Victor observes Adam. Adam gets up from his seat and bumps into furniture as he finds his way to the table. Victor sits down across from him, and Adam is defensive. Victor reminds Adam he promised Hope he would look after him, but Adam scoffs at that. Victor asks Adam about his eyesight, but Adam denies there is anything wrong with it. He tells Victor that he didn’t care about him before, so why should he start now. Victor wants to know what Adam wants from him, and he says nothing. Victor leaves.

Kevin remains locked in the closet. Clint comes to the door, telling Kevin he will let Kevin out if he is a good boy. He opens the closet door and tells Kevin he can have food and drink if he does what, “daddy,” says. Kevin asks for his mother, which frustrates Clint. He shoves Kevin back into the closet, warning him not to make a mess in there or he’ll be forced to lay in it and he’ll never be let out.

At the coffeehouse, Nikki says hi to Jill and asks how Esther is. Jill says Esther’s fine, but that she thinks she was held in captive with Katherine. Jill tells Nikki that the woman finally admitted she is Marge. A deliveryman delivers a package to Nikki. She opens it and it is Katherine’s ring. Nikki tells Jill she saw it at an auction and asked Victor to intervene for her. Nikki apologizes to Jill for accusing her of stealing it, but Jill is upset and leaves.

Amber gives Katherine a key to a room at the club. Katherine says she wants her life back, and she needs to prove she’s Katherine Chancellor in order to do that. Amber receives a phone call from Daniel, calling her obsessed with Katherine and the situation. Amber offers to eat with Katherine at the club, but she tells Amber to go set things straight with Daniel.

Kevin thinks he hears his mother talking with Clint outside the closet door. He yells at Clint to not hurt his mother. Clint commands Kevin to shut up and mutters how crazy he is under his breath as he reads the paper. Kevin finally calls for his “daddy” and promises he’ll be good. Clint helps him get out of the closet, and tells him they are going to play a game.

Nikki finds Victor at Newman and thanks him for getting Katherine’s ring back for her. Victor tells her Katherine wanted her to have it. Nikki also congratulates Victor on the pregnancy. Victor tells her that he’s busy with work, and Nikki leaves.

Neil and Karen discuss Neil’s kiss with Tyra in the Newman break room. Karen is still upset about the kiss, and tells Neil it was hard to walk in on them kissing in their living room. She tells Neil she is afraid what she would have found if she had walked in a few minutes later. She also tells him that she hates where her thoughts go when Neil is at Indigo late at night working with Tyra. Karen asks Neil to let Tyra go so that they can work on rebuilding trust in their marriage. Neil accuses Karen of not wanting Tyra to have a bigger role in Ana’s life than her. Karen tells Neil that this is about trust, not Ana. She finally demands to know what is more important – their marriage or defending Tyra. As Neil tells Karen their marriage is more important, Victor comes in and asks to speak with Neil.

After Neil leaves the room, Tyra walks in and greets Karen cheerfully. She tells Karen that she needs Neil to sign some checks for Indigo. She tells Karen the checks could wait, but she wanted to get them done early. Karen is furious, telling Tyra it is not appropriate for her to come into their place of employment to get something from Neil that could wait until later. She also tells Tyra that she should stay away from Neil.

Neil apologizes to Victor for brining his personal life into the workplace, and assures him it won’t happen again. Victor assures him it is okay, and informs Neil Ashley is pregnant. Neil congratulates him. Victor tells Neil he may need him to pick up some extra work because of the circumstances, but Neil tells Victor he needs to focus more on his family, too, because he and Karen are working on adopting Ana. Victor tells Neil it is all right; they’ll worry how to divide the work later. He tells Neil to go finish his conversation with Karen.

After Neil leaves, Victor sits down to write Adam a letter. He tells Adam it breaks his heart for Adam to be in that place, but that this experience will teach him and help him grow. Victor says this may seem like tough love, but it is love just the same.

Neil returns to the break room. Karen tells him Tyra left a check for him to sign, and he is surprised that Tyra stopped by. He apologizes to Karen for earlier, and he knows she’s right. He says Tyra is causing friction in their marriage, and that he will let her go. Karen hugs him and thanks him.

Jill spots Katherine in the dining room, and tells her that the Club won’t serve crooks. Katherine tells her that she is her mother, but Jill says she knows she admitted she is Marge. Katherine tells Jill that was only a ruse to get the psychiatrist to let her out of the hospital. She asks Jill if she was supposed to lie or to let the psychiatrist commit her? Jill tells her mother she wished the doctor committed her. Jill tells Katherine she is hurting everyone who loved her mother and are still grieving. Katherine tells Jill she is her mother, but Jill gets frustrated and leaves.

Amber meets Daniel at the coffeehouse, and she tries to explain to him why she lied to him about finding Katherine. She says she knows Daniel feels betrayed, but Daniel tells her she did betray him; she promised to give up on the Katherine thing. Amber tells him that Katherine’s life was at stake, and Daniel tells Amber hers was as well. Daniel tells her that going after Clint was stupid. Amber says she’s sick of people calling her stupid, so Daniel says she was reckless, then. They finally agree that they are worried about Kevin. Amber thinks she should tell the police the truth – that she and Kevin were going to save Katherine together.

Amber spots Jill at the coffeehouse and tells Daniel she needs to try to get Jill and Katherine in the same room so that Jill can speak with Katherine. Daniel tells her to take a break from trying to save the world, but she hops up and confronts Jill anyway. Amber tells Jill that she needs to talk with her mother, but Jill tells Amber she’s seen the woman, she isn’t her mother, and she no longer cares. Jill walks out of the coffeehouse.

Victor returns to the prison to give Adam his letter. Adam pretends to read it, but he cannot really see it. Victor pretends to leave, and then observes Adam attempting to read his letter. Victor sits down beside Adam, saying, “Let me help you with that.” Adam asks Victor what he is going to do, and Victor tells Adam they will figure it out.

Katherine sees Nikki at the Club and goes over to her. She asks Nikki to open her heart and just entertain the possibility that she might be Katherine; she asks Nikki to just hear her out. Nikki tells her that her heart closed after her best friend died. Katherine tells Nikki she is still here. Nikki tells Katherine to quit playing this sick game. Kay spots the ring on Nikki’s finger and tells her she left Nikki that ring and the rest of her jewelry in her will. Nikki begins to cry, and Katherine begs her to let go of her fear because she is still here. Nikki begs Kay to stop.

Neil arrives at Indigo, and Tyra greets him with chatter about the bar’s inventory. Neil stops her and tells her they need to talk.

Kevin is dressed as a squirrel, and approaches a man in a wicket. He has a gun and hands over a note. The man begs Kevin not to hurt him and gives him a lot of money.

Esther Discovers Katherine

Annie tells Katherine Roger has been married many times before and he'll take everything Esther has and break her heart in the process. Katherine feels helpless to help her dear friend.

At the mansion, Jill tries to tell Esther once again that Roger is conning her, but Esther doesn't want to believe it. Jill receives flowers from Jeff and she runs out of the house to confront him.

Gloria calls Jeff again and leaves him a message telling him she is free. Michael tries to get Gloria to walk away from Jeff in order to make a new start for herself, but Gloria says she likes the games they play and she loves him. She tells Michael and Lauren she will no longer be staying with them and leaves to see Jeff at the Athletic Club.

At the club, Jill confronts Jeff in his room. She is furious with him, telling him there is nothing going on between them, and that she only slept with him as a one-time thing. Jeff tells her he loves it when she gets mad. They end up in a passionate kiss.

Chloe tells Esther she really messed up with both Billy and Cane, but she wanted to do the best she could for her baby. Delia begins to cry as Roger arrives. Roger tries to get Esther to sell her half of the estate to Jill so they can move to a new home, but Esther refuses to do so, telling him it is out of the question. Roger then pushes her to go on their honeymoon, but Esther tells him she wants to wait because Chloe needs her. Chloe comes back downstairs as Roger is leaving, angry. Chloe tells her mom she should go after Roger, so she does.

Billy asks Lily if she and Cane are going to get back together now that Chloe is out of the way. Lily evades the question, and Billy takes that as a, "yes." Lily says they aren't going to get back together, but it isn't his business anyway. Billy tells Lily he is going to help Chloe help raise Delia.

At the coffeehouse, Cane tells Niel that Delia isn't his child. He explains to him the whole mess that was created. He also tells Niel that his feelings for Lily haven't changed, and that he wants to get back together with her. Niel tells him to leave Lily out of the mess, that she's been through enough already.

Later on at the coffeehouse, Karen and Niel discuss Ana and Tyra. Karen expresses her frustration with Niel not telling Tyra about the adoption as well as lying to the police for her. She finally admits she saw Niel kiss Tyra. Niel tries to tell her it isn't what it seemed, but Karen isn't buying it. Karen tells Niel he shouldn't have married her if he didn't love her and storms off.

Katherine uses Annie's bitterness and frustration against Roger and Clint to help her escape. Annie unties Katherine, but when she goes to get her purse, Roger walks in, wondering what is going on. Esther comes in just behind him and wants to know what is going on as well, especially after she sees Kay.

Michael tells Lauren he is anxious to have life be normal for just a little while for a change.

Gloria goes to surprise Jeff at his room only to find Jill there. The two of them get into a fight over Jeff, but soon realize he isn't worth it. Gloria leaves angry. Jill starts to leave, then gets sucked back in, saying she does like sticking it to Gloria. She falls back into bed with Jeff.

Gloria tells Michael and Lauren that it is over between her and Jeff and asks them if she can stay with them for a while until she finds her own place.

Esther and Katherine have an emotional reunion. Annie introduces herself to Esther as Roger's wife. Esther demands to know what Roger is doing. He tries to explain, but Esther doesn't buy it. She slaps him and they prepare to leave. Clint arrives, slams the door shut and tells everyone that no one is going anywhere. He tells Katherine she really messed up and now everyone must really suffer because of it.

While Billy holds Cordelia, Chloe tells him she lied because she was afraid if he knew, he'd run. Billy admits before Cordelia was born he was scared, but now he wants to raise her with Chloe. He asks Chloe to marry him and to fight for custody of their daughter.

In the bookstore, Cane asks Lily if she will help him raise Cordelia. He also asks her if she will marry her, and she is stunned.

Chloe Tells Billy the Truth

The Young and the Restless update for Friday February 20, 2009 - I'm sorry this is late, I had to take my kitty to the vet on Friday:

Victor tells Victoria that Ashley will be taking over Brad's old Newman board of directors seat. Victoria is angry with Victor because he doesn't discuss important decisions about Newman with her and Nick. She reminds him that he ran both of his children from the company last year. She also tells Victor he is replacing his old family with his new family - again - like he did with Sabrina. Victor snaps at Victoria, telling her not to speak of Sabrina again.

Sharon wakes up in her hotel room and remembers she slept with Billy the night before. She feels awful. A moment later, Nick shows up and apologizes for pretending to forget their anniversary. He becomes very concerned when Sharon bursts into tears.

At Jabot, Jack wonders who Billy spent the night with when he comes in smelling like alcohol and wearing the same clothes he did yesterday. Jack asks him if he's going to claim his child and starts to bug Billy about how he needs to claim his baby. Billy demands Jack back off.

Chloe wakes up and the tube is taken out of her throat. She is able to hold her baby and Cane tells her what he decided to name her. Chloe is touched by the baby's name. Cane asks her why she went up to the cabin in the middle of a snowstorm, but Chloe seems to avoid his question.

Karen tells Neil she is proceeding with the adoption process, but Neil reminds her he told Tyra he'd talk to her about it first. When Karen asks if he's talked to her yet, Neil lies and says he hasn't. Neither one of them bring up the kiss between Tyra and Neil that Karen witnessed. Neil promises he'll talk to Tyra later, but not to proceed with the adoption until he has.

Jack tries to convince Billy all of his actions and inactions have consequences. Later, Colleen and Jack work on a mysterious plan for the Newman board of directors meeting, which is to be held later that day.

Nick continues to express concern for Sharon, especially when he realizes she has been drinking alone. He tells her she can always turn to him for support, but Sharon reminds him he chose Phyllis and now he needs to keep his end of the deal and leave her alone. She insists he leave her room.

Billy returns to the hospital and briefly talks to Lily, telling her he is going to tell Cane the truth about the baby. Meanwhile, Chloe is telling Cane he isn't really Cordelia's father in her hospital room. Billy comes in, and Cane tries to make him leave, but Chloe says he needs to stay. Cane doesn't want to accept that he isn't the baby's father. He says the DNA test came back saying he was the father. He is reminded that his DNA couldn't be ruled out as him being the baby's father. Billy tells Cane he is actually Cordelia's father. Cane is furious and goes off on both Chloe and Billy. He is even more hurt when he realizes that Lily also knew about the secret, but neglected to tell him. Lily tells Cane she didn't want to take a second child from him.

At Newman, Victoria tells Nick how concerned she is about Ashley serving on the board. Nick reminds Victoria that Ashley is a good person. At the board of directors meeting, Victor presents Colleen and Abby with a plaque recognizing his accomplishments and heroic actions.

At the coffeehouse, before Ana's visit with Tyra, Karen lies to Tyra, telling her that Neil has decided to go ahead with the adoption. Karen is enthusiastic, but Tyra is surprised. During her visit, Tyra recalls her kiss with Neil and Karen's words about adopting Ana. She pretends to not be feeling well, asking the social worker for a glass of water. When she has left, Tyra tells Ana to get her backpack and they leave the coffee shop together. Tyra has decided she needs to take Ana so that they can stay together.

Jack stops by Sharon's room and offers her his support no strings attached when he sees how awful she is doing. Jack asks her if she was drinking alone, and Sharon says she was. Sharon lied and told him she drank the entire bottle of champagne alone. However, when Sharon asks Jack to get her an aspirin, he notices a second champagne flute in the drawer and knows she wasn't drinking alone.

Cane tells Lily, Chloe, and Billy that no one is ever going to take his daughter away from him. Later, when Chloe is gone for tests, Cane signs the baby's birth certificate. Meanwhile, Billy tells Lily how much he cares about her. Lily tells him that Cane is better than he is and he can take his feeling for her and shove them.

Colleen tells Victor and the rest of the board that she is going to take over Brad's seat on the Newman board of directors.

Sam Casswell Shoots Cover for Restless Style

Victor calls Sabrina and tells her he can't make dinner because his meeting is running late. Adam tells Sabrina to get used to this because work comes first with Victor. Sabrina tells Adam Victor is nothing like him.

David gives Nikki an engagement ring and tells her it is a family heirloom. He suggests they get married later that night, but Nikki reminds him today is the anniversary of Nick's plane crash. Later, David receives a phone call and he apologizes for going over his credit card limit by buying Nikki's engagement ring. He tells the company he will be on time with his payment.

Sharon and Phyllis reminisce on Nick's plane crash. Jack brings in Sam Cresswell to be the new cover model for Restless Style's first issue. Kathy Hilton is with her. Phyllis tells Jack she isn't happy that he didn't consult them before making this decision. Later on, Phyllis gets even more angry that Jack allows Jamie and Kathy to take over the entire photo shoot.

Amer, Daniel, Jana, and Kevin play Pictionary for their double date. Amber and Daniel win.

Cane and Chloe arrive at Jabot to celebrate with Lily on her cover of Restless Style. Cane can see that something is wrong with Lily, but when he asks her, she tells him everything is fine. While they are celebrating, Chloe gets a phone call, alerting her that her apartment flooded. Lily invites her to move in with her and Devon, which Devon is not happy about.

Niel and Karen meet at the coffeehouse. Karen tells Niel she does not think he is over Dru, and she is not Dru, and never will be. She also tells him, she was offered a job in New York. She tells Niel to do some soul searching and if he can tell her that he really wants her to stay, she will.

Katherine welcomes Victoria back to Jabot, and they talk about Victor's relationship with Sabrina and why Victoria left her last job.

Later, Victoria goes to the Newman Ranch to talk to Victor, but when she learns he is not there, she tells Sabrina and Adam what she thinks of each of them.

After the photo shoot, Sam Casswell wants to keep a $4,000 dress. When she asks to have it, Phyllis stalls, but Jamie tells Sam to go ahead and take it, they will bill her for the dress. Phyllis is very angry that Jamie made this decision and that Jack did not stop it. Phyllis doesn't believe they will ever see the money for that dress.

Nikki and David decide to go to Mexico to get married. They board the plane and get stuck on either side of a cranky woman with a cranky cat.

Adam and Sabrina talk about what Victoria had to say about each of them. Adam asks her for a new start before Victor returns home.

While Chloe and Devon are away from the table, Cane gets Lily to tell him what is wrong with him. She tells Cane that she still feels guilty for the miscarriage. She tells Cane she read a pregnancy article that said drinking coffee increases the chance you will have a miscarriage. Cane reassures Lily that losing the baby was not her fault.

Later, Sharon tells Lily that Restless Style won't be using her cover, and will be using another model. Everyone at the table is shocked by the news.

At the coffeehouse, Jana tells Kevin she is worried that her new job is affecting their connection, and Kevin finds this amusing.

Niel tells Karen she is right - he is not ready to be in a relationship right now and that Karen should go to New York.

Jamie encourages Jack to become the boss at Restless Style, and he agrees this is a good decision.

After Nikki and David are stuck on the plane on the runway for hours, they decide to get off. However, just as they stand up to leave, their plane gets cleared for take off.

Victor's Secrets Revealed

Lily meets Cane at the coffeehouse and tells him how disappointed Neil is in her.

Meanwhile, at Newman, Neil tells Karen that Lily is pregnant.

Adam makes the mistake of trying to get Victor to change Beauty of Nature's name again. Victor is very firm that he will not allow Adam to change its name. Later, Adam calls a friend in New York in order to see if they can catch up while he is there on business.

Phyllis welcomes Nick back from his trip to L.A. at the Restless Style headquarters. Shortly after, Sabrina shows up to discuss renting the bottom floor of Nick's building for the art exhibit. He is surprised that she is working for his father.

Cane tells Lily he will help her raise the baby if she decides to keep it. Lily is stressing out over the decision about whether to keep the baby or not.

Jill bumps into Chloe at the club and tells her she wants to talk about Lily. Chloe tells Jill she thinks Lily might be bulimic. Jill tells Chloe she is worried about her health and to get Lily to a doctor as soon as possible.

Nick decides to rent his bottom floor to Victor and Sabrina; he likes the idea of his father owing him rent.

Victor confesses to Sabrina that he owns the mortgage on Nick's building and this makes Sabrina nervous. Victoria nearly catches her father and Sabrina in an embrace when she enters Victor's office without knocking.

Victoria learns that Victor owns the mortgage on Nick's building and she is furious with him about it, but he assures her that he did it protect Nick.

At Restless Style, Phyllis informs Nick that she will need to fly to New York on business later that night. Adam and Phyllis learn that they are both going to New York and Nick assigns Phyllis to help Adam interview people for the Beauty of Nature spokesperson position.

Karen offers to help Lily find a support group, with objective support, but Neil is defensive about this, telling Karen he does not want that kind of support for his daughter. Later, Neil asks Karen if she would help him raise Lily's baby with him, and she is shocked.

Victor stops by Restless Style and signs the contract himself. He tells Nick and Phyllis he likes what they have done with the place.

Sabrina tells Victoria that she is involved with Victor. Victoria becomes very angry with Sabrina and throws her out of her house. Victoria calls Nick for support and he rushes over to her house to be with her. Once there, Nick learns from Victoria of Sabrina's involvement with Victor. He also finds out that Victor owns his mortgage, and he is furious about it.

Chloe finds Cane and Lily and tells Lily that Jill is on to her, and is demanding that she see a doctor immediately.

Kyon Seduces Jeff

Jeff presents Gloria with a single red rose to begin their second chance first date. He leaves to go and get dinner and tells Gloria to pick out a bottle of wine from the cellar. After Jeff leaves, Kyon barges into the mansion and warns Gloria about Jeff. Gloria tells her that Jeff forced her into the marriage.

Sabrina and Victor are both glowing from their love making the night before at the Ranch. Victoria enters Victor's house and Sabrina worries that Victoria knows something is up between her and Victor. Victoria takes Sabrina to Newman so that she can convince her father to hire Sabrina as a consultant.

Niel and Karen unpack her things in his apartment. Karen worries that Lily and Devon won't be okay with her moving in, but Niel assures her that they are fine with it.

Lily tells Cane she needs time to think alone, so Cane heads to Jabot for work. Colleen comes over to Lily's and she tells her friend that she is pregnant. Colleen tells her she needs to go and see a doctor and that she needs to tell Niel about the pregnancy.

Adam asks Victor to move him off of the Beauty of Nature project because he and Victoria see things so differently. Victor asks him to work it out with Victoria, and Adam tells him he will try.

Victoria and Adam have another confrontation about the Beauty of Nature ad to run in Restless Style.

Felicia Forrester and Nick talk to Nikki about Forrester borrowing Lily for their ad for Restless Style. Nikki eventually gives in, but Cane is concerned. Felicia wants to fly Lily to L.A. for a preliminary photo shoot.

Lily and Colleen continue to talk about what Lily should do about her pregnancy. Chloe calls to tell her to come in to Jabot. Once Lily gets there, she is informed that she will be working with Forrester for the Restless Style ad. Everyone is very excited for this opportunity, but Lily and Cane are both concerned.

Kyon helps Gloria look for wine in the cellar. She locks Gloria into the cellar. Alistair wonders into the Abot mansion looking for Gloria, but finds Kyon instead. After Kyon kicks him out of the mansion, Alistair realizes something isn't right.

J.T. offers to do a background check on Adam, and Victoria agrees that this is a good idea. Later, Victoria complains to Victor about the conflict she and Adam are having and asks him to move Adam to a different project. Victor tells her that he has been thinking about it, and he has decided to move Victoria off of the Beauty of Nature project. She is very upset about this news, but Victor tells her it is the best for the company.

Sabrina visits Victor at Newman before she leaves for her flight to New York. He asks her to be his art consultant. He also tells her he wants her to stay in Genua City and slowly build a modern art museum and a foundation. She tells ?Victor she will think about it. They kiss before she leaves for her flight.

Victoria asks Sabrina to be Reed's godmother, and she accepts.

When Jeff arrives back at the mansion, he finds Kyon. She talks to him about how Gloria will only hurt him and that she is not really in love with him. She disrobes and begins to seduce Jeff. While Jeff and Kyon are being intimate, Alistair sneaks back into the mansion to look for Gloria.

Lily and Devon talk about how they miss Dru. Devon confronts Lily about the pregnancy test, and she admits to him that she is, in fact, pregnant. She asks him not to tell Niel, and he agrees to keep her secret.

Karen Sings at Indigo!

Phyllis wonders aloud whether Nick should have borrowed from his trust to fun the magazine. Daniel comes into the warehouse and tells Nick and Phyllis how much he likes it. He also thanks Phyllis for the job she's given him.

Amber joins Nick, Phyllis, and Daniel at the warehouse. She inquires about working at the magazine. Phyllis is hesitant to give her a job, but Amber says she'll do anything to work there. Nick and Phyllis finally agree to give her a receptionist job.

Niel encourages Adam to get to know people in Genua City. He tells him he should come to Indigo to meet people.

Adam and Victoria are talking about the Beauty of Nature projections when J.T. comes in and tells Victoria they are going to Indigo tonight. Victoria is apprehensive about leaving Reed.

Jill and Chloe go over Lilly's preliminary shots with her. Chloe is very harsh. Nikki, Jill, and Cane all think Lily has real potential and that she has some great shots in the bunch. They try to get Chloe to be less harsh on Lilly.

Chloe continues to be harsh on Lily, and Lilly gets discouraged, telling Cane she can't seem to do anything right.

Niel calls Lily to tell her Karen will be singing at Indigo tonight and Lilly really wants to go, but she's afraid Chloe won't allow it. Cane points out that Chloe isn't Lilly's boss and he thinks going to Indigo is a great idea.

Jack pitches his magazine idea to Eric Forester. Eric points out that Victor has been a long-time enemy of Jack's, but Jack assures him Victor is not connected to the magazine. After the meeting, Eric calls Victor, and Victor tells him he thinks the magazine is a terrible idea.

Victor and Nikki run into each other at the GCAC and decide to eat dinner together. Nikki asks about Adam and then tries to talk to Victor about Nick. Victor comments that they should have eaten separately and leaves.

J.T. calls Nick and invites him and Phyllis to go to Indigo with him and Victoria. Nick is reluctant to go, but Phyllis tells J.T. they will be there.

At Indigo, Chloe asks Cane if he thinks it's inappropriate to be dating a model. When he tries to get her to be less harsh on Lily, she refuses.

At Indigo Nick gets a message that the alarms are going off in the warehouse. As he is headed out to check on things, Adam walks into the club. He flirts with Phyllis. When Phyllis returns to the table, Victoria tells her that Adam is her half-brother. Phyllis is surprised to hear this news.

Jack sees Ashley after his meeting with Eric and he tells her he thinks Eric is on board with the magazine. Ashley decides they should celebrate with dinner.

Cane and Heather call it quits

The Young and the Restless update for Tuesday December 4, 2007:

Phyllis convinces Nick to go home with her for a little while. When they get home, Phyllis notices the beautiful flowers Nick had delivered to the house for her arrival. They make love and afterward Nick gives Phyllis a new video game, which they play together while eating pizza.

At the hospital, Colleen asks Lily to fill in for her at the "Go Green" fundraiser for her because she wants to stay at the hospital with her dad. Lily agrees.

Heather and Cane and Neil and Karen are at the fundraiser when Lily and Adrian arrive. Lily and Adrian soon discover that they are seated at the same table as Cane and Heather, which makes for an awkward situation. Lily tries to make small talk.

Adrian and Heather are both interested in the speaker's artwork, so they walk around and Lock at her art while Lily and Cane stay behind at the table and talk. Adrian asks Heather what her former roommate was like as a roommate and Heather reminisces about her friend and roommate Macey.

Dr. Webb tells Nikki and Victor that it is time to think about moving Victoria to a long-term care facility because her condition is stable and the hospital is not equipped to handle long-term care. Nikki and Victor discuss what to do and they agree that they should move Victoria back into the Newman Ranch.

Later, Nikki tells Victor that she wants to be near Victoria as much as possible and she tells him that she'd like to move back into the Ranch as well. Victor inquires about her status with David, but Nikki says the only important thing in her life right now is Victoria. Victor agrees to let her move back in, saying that he thinks Victoria needs her mother around.

Brad asks the doctor for the baby's blood type. Later, the doctor reveals that the baby's blood type is O-positive, which is both Brad and J.T.'s blood type as well. J.T. is angry that Brad went behind his back to try to figure out the paternity of the baby while Victoria and the baby are still so fragile.

J.T., Brad, and Colleen talk about names for the baby.

When the auction is over at the "Go Green" benefit Cane and Neil are both surprised when Karen wins the tickets to a concert both of them were bidding on all night. Karen tells Neil and Lily she is giving one ticket to each of them as Neil had been telling her that he and Lily used to listen to the group all the time when Lily was growing up.

After Neil, Karen, and Lily leave the fundraiser, Heather tells Cane that she could clearly see the chemistry between him and Lily. She also tells him that she doesn't feel any chemistry with him and she thinks they should just be friends. Cane agrees.

Brad tells the baby he is secretly naming him Arthur, after his father, when he is alone with the baby.

Phyllis is free!

The Young and the Restless update for Tuesday November 20, 2007:

Nikki and Victor meet with the mediator and continue to argue about whether or not Victoria should have the c-section. Victor is adamant about saving his daughter's life, while Nikki insists that Victoria would want them to save the baby, even if it meant sacrificing her own life.

Neil asks Karen to stop by his office before she leaves for home and she says she will.

Amber wants Kevin to ask Cane what his plans are for Thanksgiving. Kevin does so, and asks whether Cane would be interested in helping with the free Thanksgiving dinner at the coffeehouse. Cane says he's working all day at Jabot since his family will be out of town.

When Amber hears about Cane's plans to work, she orders a Thanksgiving dinner from the GCAC and plans to take a plate of it over to Jabot for Cane.

The warden comes into Phyllis and Jana's cell and tells Phyllis to gather her things. Phyllis is nervous that she is in trouble, but the warden informs her that she has won her appeal and is being let go. Phyllis is overjoyed!

Phyllis calls Daniel to tell him that she's being let go and will be home for Thanksgiving. Daniel, too, is overjoyed.

Michael and Lauren call Nick to tell him the good news. Nick is happy about Phyllis' release, but down about Victoria's condition. He tells Michael and Lauren about her condition and asks them if they will pick Phyllis up for him so he can stay at the hospital with his family. Michael and Lauren happily agree to do so.

Lily is in the break room at Newman with Cane while Karen gets coffee in the background. She asks him what he's doing for Thanksgiving and he says his family will be out of town. She invites him to join her family and he agrees to come over.

Brad and J.T. argue about what is best for Victoria in the hospital hallway. Nick comes over and breaks up the argument. J.T. and Brad storm off.

After Cane leaves the break room, Karen tells Lily that she overheard her telling Devon that she doesn't want Karen at their dinner. Lily tries to apologize, but ends up making things worse.

Cane goes back to the coffeehouse and asks Amber for advice on what to bring to a Thanksgiving dinner because he is going to the Winters'.

Amber gets very depressed that her plan to surprise Cane with Thanksgiving dinner is ruined.

An ecstatic Phyllis hugs Jana good-bye. She promises she'll visit her. As Phyllis walks out the door, Jana realizes that Phyllis forgot her dollhouse and photo frame she made for Summer, but it's too late to catch Phyllis.

Lily talks to Devon about her feelings regarding Karen and their mother's loss. Devon tells Lily that Karen isn't so bad and that she makes their father happy, which is the most important thing, so they should learn to accept Karen.

Lily finds Karen again and apologizes. She tells Karen that she sincerely wants her to come to dinner and that she really wants to get to know her. Neil enters the break room and the two women tell him of the new plans - that Karen and Cane will be joining them for Thanksgiving.

After Lily leaves, Neil asks Karen how Cane got invited and she tells him Lily invited him. Neil is not pleased about this.

Phyllis hugs and kisses Nick in the hospital and says she wants to visit Victoria. She enters the room and talks to Victoria for a little while.

Update for Tuesday October 9, 2007

Niel invites Karen to ice cream night, explaining that Lily scored a 98% on her toughest midterm this semester and they are going to celebrate.

Cane gives Lily a book about Australian culture for her paper. Devon points out that Lily is not taking anthropology this semester. Lily tells Cane that she is planning to take it next semester and that she will take good care of his book until she is done with it and can give it back to him. Cane tells her to keep the book and offers Lily back her CD, but Lily tells him to keep it.

When Lily shows Colleen the book Cane bought her, Colleen tells Lily that he thinks about her, which excites both of them.

Katherine, Jack, and Sharon meet the ADA, Heather and offer her a deal: Jack will talk to Maggie about Ji Min if they agree to not prosecute him on fraud charges related to Jabot. Heather later agrees to the deal.

Maggie and Heather come to talk to Jack and Sharon at the Abot mansion. Maggie asks Jack how he managed to persuade Ji Min not to go public with the Jabot story and Jack admits he told Ji Min he had bought his family's land in Korea and threatened to sell it if he went public. He apologizes to Sharon because she thought Jack had agreed not to do that.

Maggie manages to get a sample of dog hair from Jack's dog while she is at the Abot mansion. She tells Paul she hopes it will match the sample of dog hair found on Ji Min's body.

Devon arrives with ice cream at Niel's. Lily and Devon want to dive into the ice cream, but Niel tells them they have to wait for Karen. Lily and Devon express their disappointment. Karen arrives wearing a hat similar to one Dru used to wear. Lily is visibly upset and goes to her bedroom. Niel tells Karen that he had just donated a bunch of Dru's things to a thrift shop and Karen happened to pick up the exact hat Niel donated to the thrift store.

The four of them play cards and have strained conversation. Before Karen leaves, Devon and Lily make fun of her, believing their father and Karen won't overhear. Karen gives Lily Dru's hat, telling her she thinks Dru wants her to have it.

After Karen leaves, Niel expresses his anger and disappointment in his children. He says if they ever treat a guest like that again, he will not allow them in his home anymore. Lily and Devon apologize before they leave.

Update Tuesday Sept 18, 2007

Daniel and Amber watch horrified as Cane and Lily kiss.

Adrian and Colleen are talking when Colleen spots Daniel and Amber. She insists they leave immediately, but Amber refuses.

Lily pulls Colleen aside into Niel's office at Indigo and tells her about the kiss she and Cane shared. Colleen informs Lily that Daniel and Amber are at the party. Kevin enters and tells Colleen that Jana will not see him any longer at the mental hospital.

Neil and Karen star gaze. They nearly kiss, but they are interrupted.

Heather finds Cane and asks him to a movie. She says she wants to meet friends that have nothing to do with criminal justice. At that point, Kevin walks over to Heather and asks her to dance. She turns him down.

Niel returns to the office where he finds Devon working some kinks out of a project. They talk about Niel's relationship with Karen. Niel admits he misses Dru a great deal, but that Karen is intelligent and attractive.

Cane discover Lily with Colleen throwing up. He offers his help.

Amber runs off to find Cane. She finds him and tries to talk to him, but he reminds her that he wants nothing to do with her and that he doesn't even like her anymore.

Niel returns to Indigo. Karen finds him in his office there. He finally kisses her.

Heather tells Daniel, Amber, and Kevin that the fire department located the stolen money in the fire at the GCAC. She tells them that they are not off the hook, however.

Lily thanks Cane for offering to help her. She agrees to be "friends" with him.
